UgraNarasimha Devaswom

The temples our ancestors built but got destroyed, rebuilt and under worship again.

UgraNarasimha Devaswom administers the restoration and worship of temples across Bharat — from sanctums already returned to daily puja, to ruined sites still under repair.

How the Devaswom works

A temple in ruins is a community without its centre.

Each temple that comes under the Devaswom's care moves through the same three stages — restoring the structure, reviving its worship, and rebuilding the community around it.

Restore

Structural repair of the sanctum, roof, and compound — using traditional materials and temple architects wherever the site allows it.

Revive

Restarting daily pujas and the annual festival calendar, and finding or training the priests each temple needs.

Rebuild

Strengthening the village and devotee community around the temple so the revival outlasts our involvement.

Temples restored

Completed, and handed to their communities

Each of these was found overgrown, encroached, or simply forgotten. Restoration is complete, and the temple has been handed over to a local devotee committee — the Devaswom no longer manages worship or bookings there.

Being restored

Still under the Devaswom's care

These temples are still managed by the Devaswom — funding, maintenance, and (where worship has already resumed) bookings all run through the trust. Our focus is to nurture these temples into the status of Mahakshethra for worship of respective Deities and for benefit of devotees.

Astrology & prasna

Not sure which puja you need?

A consultation can help identify what's behind a difficulty and which worship addresses it — many devotees book a reading before choosing a puja rather than after.

Ways to contribute

Every restoration runs on devotee support

There is no government budget behind this work — land review, materials, priest stipends, and festival revival are funded entirely by contributions. Prefer to support one temple specifically? Open its page and use the panel there.

One-time offering

Any amount

Goes directly to whichever restoration needs it most right now — structural work, documentation, or a temple's first festival back.

Recurring seva partner

From ₹101/month

A standing monthly contribution that funds daily puja upkeep and priest support at temples already revived.

Puja booking

Book a puja at a Devaswom-managed temple

These are the trust-managed temples where regular puja is already running. Each temple's page lists what can be booked there and how. Bookings are confirmed by the temple's priest before your date — handed-over temples are not listed here, as the Devaswom no longer manages their bookings.
