Chandanamkandathil Sankaranarayana Temple remains under encroachment. UgraNarasimha Devaswom has taken up its revival, which faces a hostile local situation, a court injunction, and criminal cases filed against devotees involved in the effort.
One civil case and one criminal case are currently ongoing as the Devaswom works to secure the site before restoration work can begin in earnest.
