Sanctum carved to ceiling in stone; consecration planned

Odappallam Kirata Shiva Parvati Temple is an ancient temple in Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad, destroyed roughly two centuries ago during the invasion of Tipu Sultan.

The Garbhagriha is complete in stone up to the ceiling, and the sacred well is finished. Ceiling stone carving is under way, with consecration planned for a coming Uttarayana.
