About this temple

Garbhagriha, kitchen, and well complete — Sree Rama Pooja resumed

Kottappadam Srirama Temple is an ancient Srirama temple in Palakkad, revived from ruins by UgraNarasimha Devaswom overcoming significant difficulties and hurdles at the site. Stones found intact among the ruins were cleaned and reset in place, and broken artefacts were replaced as part of the reconstruction.

The Garbhagriha, temple kitchen, and temple well are now complete. Sree Rama Pooja has resumed at the temple and can be booked online, even as further restoration work continues. The temple also takes part in the annual Ramayana Masam observance, with daily pujas and Ramayana recitation offered each year from 17 July to 16 August.
